Feederhouse variable drive

All 70 Series Combines come standard with an electric-over-hydraulic feederhouse reverser.

The operator simply presses down on the header engage switch on the CommandTouch armrest console and pulls rearward.

The electronically controlled reverser engagement prevents the operator from engaging the reverser before the header and feederhouse come to a complete stop. Engine rpm is automatically reduced to idle speed when the reverser is engaged to provide maximum torque from the reverser gearbox.

On combines equipped with the CommandTouch multi-speed feederhouse drive, reverser engagement will automatically shift the drive transmission to first gear, providing maximum torque from the reverser gearbox.
  • For the Posi-Torq™ variable-speed drive feederhouse, four types of reversers are available:
  • Uses engine power to easily dislodge header or feederhouse plugs
  • Increases productivity by allowing the combine to be operated at maximum capacity without fear of plugging
