 | Narrow turn limiters |
| | Wide turn limiters |
| Turn limiters may be required to prevent powerline damage if the hitch point of the tractor is beyond the rear drive wheels of the tractor.
John Deere tractors manufactured prior to 1993 and some competitive tractors may not require turn limiters.
NOTE: Turn limiters are not required for machines equipped with a rockshaft swivel hitch.

|
| To determine if turn limiters are required:
- Set up the tractor with the power take-off (PTO) shaft speed desired for the mower-conditioner.
- Set the tractor drawbar in the proper position for the PTO shaft (see the tractor operator's manual for details).
- Lay a straight edge between the rear tires at the outermost diameter.
- From the straight edge, plumb a line to the tractor drawbar and measure distance A from the line to the center of the hitch pin hole.
- Refer to the following sections to determine if turn limiters are needed on a particular tractor.
