Single-shoot air systems are used when applying a starter fertilizer along with the seed. Double-shoot air systems are used when applying higher levels of fertilizer, such as urea, in a zone separate from the seed, allowing simultaneous application of seed and fertilizer. With a three tank 1910 Cart, starter fertilizer can also be applied with the seed while double shooting.

Stationary double-shoot primary manifold

An optional stationary double-shoot air system is available:
  • Includes a mixing chamber for both top and bottom primaries at each tank compartment 
  • Allows seed and fertilizer to be placed separately
    • Helps reduce risk burning the seed when using high rates of fertilizer
System includes:
  • Damper in plenum for channeling airflow
  • Double-stack primary manifold configured for double-shoot at each tank
  • A bypass valve to allow either single shooting or double shooting
  • A positive lock on each bypass valve to prevent the valve from moving during field operation
  • A bottom inspection plate that can be removed for cleanout, meter calibration, or rate verification
Primary manifolds can be accessed by removing the bottom inspection plate.
